Paul McCartney back on tour...Again

Sir Paul McCartney has announced that he is going to be touring this November and December, the tour is being called the On The Run tour. The news broke days after he married his 4 year partner Nancy Shevell. This will be the third marriage for the former beatle, lets hope this one doesn't demand hundreds of millions of dollars and breaks down on GMTV after they split up.

The On The Run tour will also play in U.A.E which will be McCartneys first time playing there, he will perform during the Abu-Dhabi Grand Prix, then closing the tour back in his home town of Liverpool in time for Christmas at home.

Sir Paul McCartney said "Playing live is one of the most exciting parts of my job.I cant wait to see you all for some wild nights of rock n roll partying!!".

Former Weezer bassist Mikey Welsh dies age 40

Bassist Mikey Welsh dies unexpectedly on the 8th of October 2011 at the age of 40.

The news was announced by his family from his twitter account twitter.com/mikeywelsh71. the family tweeted "we are deeply saddened to announce that Mikey Welsh has passed away unexpectedly. He will forever be remembered as an amazing father, artist and friend. May he rest in peace."

The band also paid there respects via twitter "We are shocked and deeply saddened to hear the awful news, our friend and fellow Weezer rocker @mikeywelsh71 has passed away. We love you Mikey." He joined the band in 2000 and featured on hits such as "Hash pipe" and "Island in the Sun". He had a mental breakdown whilst in the band and also attempted suicide then left the band in 2001.

Interestingly in the week leading up to his death Mikey posted a number of suspicious tweets regarding his death such as tweeting "Dreamt I died in Chicago next weekend (heart attack in my sleep). Need to write my will today." on the 26 of September. He was found unresponsive in his hotel room floor at 2.50pm, the cause of Welsh's death is yet to be determined

Lostprophets and Good Charlotte Join V Festival Line up

The welsh rockers Lostprophets will be joining fellow british rock acts such as the headliners Artic Monkeys for the two day V festival event, which is happening in Essex in the summer. The festival is already sold out with Artic Monkeys and Eminem headlining the weekend.
Also recently added to the bill are Good Charlotte, Razorlight, Pendulum and many more , plus many more still to be announced!

Guns n' Roses Reunion?!

It has been reported that Axl and Slash have been seen together meeting up around LA.
The two original Guns n Roses members who are responsible for some of the best songs in rock history such as Sweet Child o Mine and Welcome to the Jungle, who also produced arguably the best debut album of all time, have got fans excited all over the world at the possibility of a reunion of the Most Dangerous Band In The World.
Slash who walked out on Axl and the band some 15 years ago after musical differences occurred between him and Axl recently performed at this years Superbowl which instantly sparked rumours that Guns n Roses had been asked to reform at the next Superbowl. The two rockers have previously been offered 8 figure advancments to reform but both rejected the offers, but are they now finally ready to come together?

Axl and Slash have reportedly been spotted meeting up in various coffee shops, and bakeries in the area of  Los Angeles, both sharing a dicussing over muffins and tea. It was overheard that Axl had been telling Slash about his obsession with baking over the past 15 years to which thery both fell about laughing.

Have the bad boys orf rock n roll finally decided enough is enough and are ready to give the rock world what they always wanted? a GUNS N ROSES REUNION?!!

The Strokes Start work on a new Album

New York's biggest indie band The Strokes have reportedly  already started work on a fifth album, only a few days after the release of their fourth "Angles" which was released on the 22nd of march 2011.Angles' is currently sitting at No. 3 In the UK album chart behind both of Adeles Albums.
'Angles' which was the follow up to 'First Impressions of Earth' took 5 years to make, but Strokes bassist Nikolai Fraiture has confirmed that fans will have to wait a lot less for the next album as there is a lot of  new material in the works as well as left over material from 'Angles'

Noel Gallagher recording solo record?

Brit Rock Icon and former Oasis member Noel Gallagher has been rumoured to be working on a solo record in LA. The You Me At Six frontman Josh Franceschi tweeted "Can hear Noel from Oasis blasting his new tunes from the studio next door. Absolutely mental". You Me At Six are also in LA currently recording their studio album.
When asked Noel has denied that he has been working on any sort of solo project, but as usual his charismatic brother Liam claim that Noel is defiantly working on something, and is interested to hear it to see if he features on it or not.
Liam recently released his first album with his new band Beady eye and also got a slot to perform at this year Reading and Leeds Festival, so is Noel going to step out of the shadows this year and release a Solo Record to compete with his brother, and reignite the ever so heated sibling rivalry.
